Welcome to LV Energy, your energy solution
About LV Energy ⚡
The invention of harvesting energy from sound waves started while Vincent Houwert, the inventor, was working at a pro-audio manufacturer specialised in durable (outdoor) audio products. Led by an innovative idea about electronics cooling, the pro-audio manufacturer changed direction and evolved into the datacenter cooling startup iXora B.V. LV Energy B.V. became a spinoff start-up company from that point, being a full daughter company of Cuboid B.V., a small Dutch technology investment firm.
🔉 Sound is everywhere!
Noise into energy
Noise pollution is everywhere, our goal is to use the loudest noises to make usable energy. Where the air is filled with sound waves, a lot of energy is floating around; totally wasted in most cases. For example, the noise coming from a wind turbine is very annoying for anyone living close by and doesn’t add up to the energy harvested by the turbine. Until now; with LV Energy’s patented technology, we can convert these sound waves into usable electrical energy.
All day and all night!
One of the unique characteristics of this technology is that it works day and night, all year! For example, solar panels work only when there is (a little) sunshine; which is on average in Europe less than 30% of the time (Average of 2.335 hours on a yearly basis).
Embrace silence!
The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed – only converted from one form of energy to another. This means that the sound waves we convert to electrical energy are no longer sound waves. The annoying wind turbine mentioned before can generate more energy using our technology, while being less noisy for the environment. Talking about a win-win!
LV Energy Team 🏢
Satish Jawalapersad
Satish is our general director. With quite an impressive and diverse background over the past two decades, Satish oversees what is needed in a rapid evolving startup like LV Energy. The positive LV Energy company spirit matches Satish’ personal vision on social responsibility.
Vincent Houwert
The inventor that came up with the invention, is still the head of technical development. Along with a growing group of freelance engineers, Vincent is working towards some ready-to-use products. He also ensures that the base information that comes with the licenses is complete and usable.
Martijn Kint
Martijn is our specialist when it comes to the green energy market. He knows all about the energy transition: producing (green) energy, storing energy and energy planning. With a broad background from datacenters to professional light and sound, he’s a strong asset in our team.
Lily Houwert
Lily organizes all the documentation and is responsible for the usability of the interfaces both in firmware and physical at the PCB level. Thanks to Lily all reports align with the prototypes and results are easily found in our internal documentation.
Bas Modderkolk
Bas is an engineer with a commercial background, helping to create the right channels to promote our technology. To setup development partnerships Bas understands in-depth the technology and how to match this with commercial interests that apply for commercial businesses.
Femke Haccoû
Both in her personal and work life, Femke has always been interested in the energy transition with complex challenges how to apply in busy urban areas, coping with noise pollution, energy distribution and capacity planning. She has a great network in the public domain and wide experience with press and marketing in this field.
Spencer Thomasz
Spencer is one of the brainiacs working on the circuit boards and firmware. With a background in the entertainment industry and architectural lightning, he understands a thing or two about audio and product integration in structures.
Sander Derkzen
With over a decade of maintenance experience at the regional grid power(sub)stations, Sander can advise perfectly how to integrate the harvesters into grid locations. He can also easily advise on Discovery placement and can give a hand installing them.
Joris Verkerk
Using his audio and electronics background, Joris helps to improve the harvester effectiveness by calculating wavelengths in relationship with dimensions of the transducer fields. With his current experience working on public infrastructure, he knows about technology in bridges and tunnels as well, providing great input on location suitability.
